Looking for

Personal Growth?

You may not have “serious issues” when it comes to your emotions or how you manage your day-to-day life, but you’ve heard about friends going to therapy to gain insight and make changes. You might even feel a little jealous of their growth but feel that what you are going through is not “serious” enough to go to therapy for. I am here to tell you, you don’t have to be depressed or anxious to go to therapy! Think of therapy as an opportunity to invest in yourself and make lasting changes that can benefit you for the rest of your life.

Therapy is a great way to sort out your thoughts, be curious about your patterns, and gain perspective about the stressors you are facing. Often as we go through life, our capacity to deal with stressors changes depending on what you are going through. Here is an analogy to illustrate how therapy could help you. Think of your emotional capacity as a water bottle - if it is almost full, even if we add just a few droplets of water into it, water would overflow. That is not because there is something wrong with the water bottle ; it is just reality that the bottle was already holding too much! Sometimes what we need is not a new bottle but the opportunity to clear out the old junk to create more space. If you would like to do this through coming to therapy, contact us!
