Young Adult Counseling

Adulting?

Discover who you are.

Young adults often face unique challenges as they go through the process of entering adulthood. They might be college students, young professionals, or new parents, typically in the age range of 18 to 35. Regardless of circumstances, it is typical for young adults to feel the pressure of “adulting” yet struggle with feeling like an “imposter” who do not have their lives figured out.

During this time, many find it helpful to process identity issues (who am I?) and clarify your values (who do I want to be?). You might even want to examine your patterns of relating with others, in order to prepare yourself for a committed relationship with a future partner. Lastly, learning the right coping skills and emotional management strategies can really help as you deal with stressors as you navigate your relationship, finances, and career goals.
